Kia Ora James.Yes I know its been awhile since I have been on Bebo.Coming to the end of the year with assignments due and getting things ready for the new year.We have a hui(meeting) with our ICT mentors on the 30th so I'm sure Rach will share back with us some of the things in the pipeline.A lot of our kids are on bebo so maybe we can start looking at them starting.We probably just need to edit some of their sites etc.Anyway we can organise that together.How's Syl.I dont see him on here yet!!Anyway catch up with you soon.

Rachael can make things happen at this end and i know she will be well supported. I hope to make it to NECC next year but we will have to work on the budgets or tie it in with something else we are doing aye Rachael.

James u are truely the man! You have such great corporative support available to you. You've mentioned a few things so one at a time "international summit" great for the older kids say grade 10 and up. Our PEKE conference was for grades 6 - 9, so having both would fit perfectly and seems like a nice progression. Running both in the states in 07 is an amazing idea...!Keen to start brainstorming ideas...IN regards to video conferencing and further work with CYDEL I'll make a time to talk with them...I dont want to get their hopes up too soon.They are buzzing from their tentative management deal with MOTOWN. Thanks for thinking about who could sponsor this. I am totally committed to these ideas...I will chat more with people here as well. If you think we could also run a PEKE conference over there, we could signal this to kids now so they can start saving...Ure too much!!!

Hi James. This sounds great...yes I'll be sure to let CYDEL know...They're either travelling in March or June/July...The idea of an international online workshop is great...I'll have to jump back into my ecoach again. We would really need some kind of video conference functionality to make things successful...and the possibility of putting up audio and movie clips.
Will think more about the gaming idea, and would still like you to consider the possibility of getting some kids from the states to come to our lil conference at the start of September 07. Our kids here would love to have them come. Hi again. one of the members from CYDEL has just got back from L.A. He met with someone at MOTOWN while he was there. They are looking at returning back with their band next year, either at the start of the year, or mid year, possibly around July. If they did do some work with kids in schools over there online somehow, it could possibly culminate in a school visit or something? Not sure...Again it all comes down to money. I'm not sure which part of the states they're going to...Cant wait till their album comes out at the end of the year! Finding an under writer from the states would be far more beneficial for them than in NZ. We dont have the same capacity here.

Hey James - Yes they are two of the four guys with the suits, and are also the two at the end. They ran a workshop at our recent conference and were just great with the kids. Infact one of them has been in L.A for the last few weeks promoting their music (I think) I love their music. I showed them their clip in You Tube and they didnt realise it was there. I'm trying to encourage them to get a website and get them out there, but their finances dont quite stretch that far yet. They name of their band is CYDEL ... Their album is due out at the end of this year, and theyre definitely an NZ group that will go places Oh....they have an audition lined up with MOTOWN also...but one of their band members left, leaving them as a duo, and MOTOWN had agreed to the audition as a threesome, so they didnt get to go through with u...

Oh by the way...you can get more video clips if you sign up on You Tube (www.youtube.com)The clip you have here is some of our local talent...They call their music pacblues (pacific blues) You dont see them until the end of the clip...They've featured kids they work with in their video...cool huh? cya
